It's beginning to look a lot like...giveaways? Everywhere you go (singing). In fact yours truly won a giveaway just last week. Amazing isn't it? I never win anything, but things seem to be looking up. StrideBox Giveaway

My August StrideBox came in 2's again last month. Apparently something happened in June with my subscription and although I thought I had fixed the problem I received 2 boxes two months in a row. Apparently when I tried fixing my payment information online I subscribed again. Well what am I going to do with 2 boxes a month? In July I gave my extra box to my running friend Brock, who thought it was pretty cool. Then I received 2 in August so I gave one out as a door prize at our first Run For God meeting. I decided to send an email to StrideBox explaining the situation and that I only wanted 1 box a month. A reply came back a few days later stating they had resolved the situation and I would only be receiving 1 box each month. Funny because when I checked my email last week I had two messages from StrideBox with the same subject line, " StrideBox has sent you a package". Yep, two different tracking numbers for 2 boxes. The Big Run

The day finally arrived for my 30 mile run. Everything was in place and there was nothing but blue skies, sunshine...and horrible wind. Yep, I definitely picked the wrong direction for this run. I knew there would be wind but had no idea what kind of toll that would take on my entire body. I prepared well by waking up early to eat my bagel with peanut butter and drink a nice hot cup of tea. I changed into my gear, lubed my feet, took my pills, and packed the Nathan Hydration Pak full of my essentials. Ready to go! These are my usual essentials- minus the most important roll of toilet paper. Thankfully after we picked up Bryan we had to come back to the house to set the odometer and I was able to grab my sunglasses (they proved to be a very important part of this run- I have a raccoon eye). I wanted to make sure I ended right by my own house without going any further than necessary. I watched the odometer closely and made sure Mike hit the brakes right at mile 30. So w
